Kamala Harris Leads Trump in Pennsylvania and Michigan
Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump in critical swing states Pennsylvania and Michigan, according to a recent Quinnipiac University poll. Conducted after their September 10 debate, Harris leads Trump 51 percent to 45 percent in Pennsylvania and 50 percent to 45 percent in Michigan. In Wisconsin, the race is nearly tied with Harris just one point ahead.
A new poll released on Wednesday indicates that Kamala Harris holds significant leads over Donald Trump in crucial swing states Pennsylvania and Michigan.
The Quinnipiac University survey, conducted after the September 10 televised debate, shows Harris leading Trump 51 percent to 45 percent in Pennsylvania and 50 percent to 45 percent in Michigan.
These states, part of the Midwest and Northeast Rust Belt, are considered pivotal for winning the White House.
In Wisconsin, another vital Rust Belt state, Harris has a marginal one-point lead.
The poll indicates that Harris's six-point margin in Pennsylvania is significantly outside Quinnipiac's 2.7 percent margin of error.
Harris, who became the Democratic presidential candidate in July after President Joe Biden withdrew his reelection bid, has performed better in polls against Trump than Biden did.
Despite a tight overall race in the battleground states, recent post-debate national polls show Harris with an overall four-point lead in some surveys while others show Trump ahead by three points.
