Gangs Checking IDs in Amsterdam Streets as Israel Deploys Rescue Planes Amid Rising Tensions
In response to alarming reports of organized gangs targeting Israeli citizens in Amsterdam, Israel has deployed emergency military rescue planes to evacuate its nationals. The incidents began after Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Europa League match, with gangs reportedly stopping people in the streets and checking IDs to identify Israelis.
The situation has escalated quickly, with at least 10 fans injured as groups methodically search the city for potential Israeli targets. Dutch politician Geert Wilders has condemned the violence, calling it “a Jew hunt in Amsterdam.” Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir echoed these concerns, warning that this wave of violence could spread to other parts of Europe.
In light of the escalating violence, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered an immediate evacuation of Israeli citizens. Although Dutch police have made 20 arrests in connection with the incidents, they are struggling to contain the crisis.
Israeli military rescue teams are now en route to Amsterdam, providing medical and logistical support to assist affected citizens.
