Brian Jeffrey Raymond, a former CIA officer from La Mesa, California, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting more than two dozen women.
The Department of Justice revealed that Raymond, 48, committed these acts over several years, beginning in 2006, including taking non-consensual photos and videos of his victims.
The investigation was triggered in May 2020 when a woman was found screaming on the balcony of Raymond’s Mexico City apartment.
The assaults took place in various countries, including Mexico and Peru.
Raymond lured women he met on dating apps to his government-leased apartment before drugging and assaulting them.
He accepted a plea deal in November 2023, admitting to multiple charges.
His sentencing comes amid heightened scrutiny of the CIA's handling of sexual misconduct cases.
