Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme Accused of Having Sex with Human Trafficking Victims
Belgian actor allegedly received five Romanian models as a gift during a party in Cannes, despite knowing they were victims of human trafficking
A 64-year-old Belgian actor has been accused of having sex with women who were victims of human trafficking.
The actor allegedly received five Romanian models as a gift during a party he hosted in Cannes, with the intention of having sex with them, despite being aware that they were trafficked for sexual purposes by an organized crime group.
A complaint was filed against the actor at the Romanian department for investigating organized crime and terrorism, alleging that he had sexual relations with women who were trafficked by a crime organization.
According to reports, the incident occurred during the actor's party at the Cannes festival, where he allegedly received the five Romanian women as a gift, despite knowing they came from an organization that traffics women.
One of the lawyers representing the victims stated that the women were exploited and were in a vulnerable state.
The lawyer also revealed that the five women are Romanian models and that the organization that trafficked them is run by Romanians and is involved in human trafficking and prostitution.
This information emerged as part of a deeper investigation into human trafficking and child sex trafficking, which was launched by the Romanian prosecutor's office in 2020. The lawyer added that the person who received the women was aware of their situation.
So far, the actor has not responded to the allegations against him.
