The British police have formally charged comedian Russell Brand with rape and several counts of sexual assault.

The accusations arise from events that took place between 1999 and 2005, involving four distinct women.

According to law enforcement, Brand, who lives in Oxfordshire, England, stands accused of rape and various acts of sexual assault, including forced oral sex.

He has also been the subject of investigations in the United States.

In 2023, a report emerged showcasing the testimonies of four women who alleged that Brand assaulted them from 2006 to 2013. One individual claimed that Brand coerced her into performing oral sex when she was just 16, while another accused him of raping her at his Los Angeles residence.

Brand has refuted all claims against him, asserting that he has never participated in any non-consensual sexual encounters.
